SearchView Concord Homes for Sale

Concord is the largest city in Contra Costa County. Homes for sale in Concord include everything from Victorian-style homes to large ranchettes and horse properties. Concord homes range in price from some of the most affordable homes in the county to stunning, upscale estates. New home development has added to Concord’s luxury home inventory.

Typical homes in Concord include condos, townhouses, patio homes, single-family homes, and beautiful luxury homes on large lots.

Concord has a population of over 125,000. It was once known as Todos Santos (meaning “All Saints” in Spanish), shortly thereafter became Concord and has kept that name ever since. However, the downtown plaza still bears the city’s original name and plays heavily on its pre-California Spanish history. It was incorporated as Concord California in 1905.

Concord is served by the Mount Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD). The local public high schools are Ygnacio Valley High School and Clayton Valley High School. Concord is also home to De La Salle High School and Carondelet High School, two private Catholic high schools known for their high academic standards as well as atheletic achievement. De La Salle’s Spartan football team compiled a record 151 game wining streak between 1992 and 2004.

California State University, East Bay also has a campus in Concord.

Today, Concord is home to the World Champion Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, made up of talented musicians from around the world and are the most decorated drum and bugle corps in the history of Drum Corps International.
